Michal Gažovič

michalMichal Gažovič graduated in Forestry at the Technical University of Zvolen, Slovakia. After the graduation, he continued with doctoral studies in Landscape Ecology at the University of Greifswald, Germany with focus on carbon cycle of the pristine peatlands (wetlands). After the studies in Germany, he joined the working group around Michal Kravčík from NGO People and Water back in Slovakia. As a GETIDOS fellow in 2011, he will help to evaluate the implementation of the flood prevention and landscape (water) restoration project in Slovakia and explore the possibilities for paludi-culture projects in Slovakia.
